What to pay attention to when choosing coffee

How to choose a coffee variety?

When getting acquainted with our beans and the world of specialty coffee in general, we recommend starting with the basic Culture line, as well as the Passion line. Coffee from these categories is accessible, with a fairly simple and understandable taste.

If you are an avid coffee enthusiast or want to try something new, feel free to try Impressoin and Boutique lots.

Pay attention to the taste descriptions of the lots. And if you need help choosing, write to us, and we will help.

How to choose the roast level?

We offer medium and light roast coffee.

Choose espresso roast if you brew coffee in an espresso machine. For all other brewing methods, filter roast is the ideal option, as it is slightly lighter.

To grind coffee or not?

The most ideal option is to grind a portion of coffee immediately before brewing. This way the coffee will be maximally tasty and aromatic, and will also last longer.

If this is not possible, we can grind the coffee for free upon your request. Select the desired grind level when adding the product to the cart.

A hand coffee grinder will soon be available in our store in the Accessories section.

How best to store coffee?

It is best to store coffee in our branded packaging, which has a zip-lock and is equipped with a special degassing valve, so it is airtight and does not let air inside. This way the beans will retain their flavor and aroma properties longer.

It is important to ensure that the beans are not exposed to temperature fluctuations and high humidity. For storage, choose a dry and dark place, such as a kitchen cabinet.

PERU ASTEROPE

Lot: Asterope Country of Origin: Peru Region: Cajamarca Producer: El Limon, Luis Noriega Variety: Bourbon and Caturra Processing Method: Natural anaerobic After harvesting and sorting, the cherries are placed into plastic barrels for fermentation. Following a relatively short anaerobic fermentation, the coffee is dried on raised patios. A rather calm and delicate anaerobic process. The aroma reveals dried fruits and citrus. In the cup and aftertaste, notes of red Sicilian orange, grapefruit, raspberry, and cane sugar unfold. The acidity is well-developed, with a lactic and malic character. The body is full and rounded, and as the coffee cools, the cup becomes especially well balanced. A pleasant, fruity everyday coffee. Suitable for all brewing methods except espresso. When brewed in a moka pot, the balance shifts towards a brighter acidity.
